Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to serve an elementary school population in Baltimore, MD. This position focuses on providing specialized speech and language support to preschool through elementary students, with an emphasis on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy to a caseload of preschool and elementary students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the communication needs of each student.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Monitor and document student progress in compliance with school policies and standards.
- Utilize AAC devices and strategies to enhance communication for students who require alternative methods.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license with CCC certification.
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with preschool and elementary populations.
- Preferred experience or training in AAC implementation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently within the designated school calendar year period.
